Phyllis Smith: I have been married for 59 years to the same pretty great husband. We both taught school for 30 years, and have been retired since '95. Early in retirement we traveled some, had a lake place which we sold. In recent years we have cared for an elderly parent and other family members. I have poor eyesight from glaucoma, so I don't drive. I have had two hip surgeries, back surgery, and surgeries on my eyes. All of these have helped, and I walk pretty well with my cane. I still need 2 knee replacements. That pretty great husband takes very good care of me, and our family, too. We also have a lot of fun doing all the little things that make up our day by day life. I belong to several women's groups. I treasure our 3 children, their spouses, and our 4 grandchildren.And now we have a very precious great grandson, ste[ gtreat gramdson and a step great granddaughter. We feel quite blessed that they have all turned out to be good citizens and good people that make us proud. We enjoy carefree living in a nice modular home in a well cared for modular home park. We like it very much. Life is now, and has been quite good to us.
